I photographed this intimate landscape on my winter 2012 visit to Death Valley National Park. I found this dry salt creek while wandering the salt flats, and new it would make for a great subject. I setup my camera in the afternoon, then stuck with it through sunset.
The sunset that day was mostly uneventful, so I left my camera in place and returned the next morning. I lucked out, and there was a wonderful sunrise the next morning.
