I photographed this scene on my fall 2023 trip to Zion National Park. This is a section of the wash I revisit on every trip to Zion. It has a long lasting glow at midday, but the condition of the wash and the state of fall color change so much from year to year. On this particular visit, the maple had a wonderful mix of fall color, and the rock-strewn wash was quite clean.
