About The Images: I love the contrast in color and form between these two images. The sharp angular lines of the fractured sandstone pair well with the wandering curves of the ice abstract. The ice photo was taken along a frozen creek in Zion National Park during the fall of 2019, and the fractured sandstone was photographed while on a backpacking trip near Escalante Utah during the spring of 2018. It was while scanning the photo of the ice that I thought of the sandstone image I captured one year earlier, and when I opened the images side by side in photoshop, I knew immediately this would make a wonderful matched pair.
