I photographed this scene on my Fall 2018 trip to Zion National Park. This was an unusually good year for fall color. In some ways, the ideal fall color made it more of a challenge since there was so much beauty in every direction, and it was difficult trying to isolate individual subjects. As I walked through a wash at the end of the day, I stumbled upon this scene, and worked quickly to photograph it before the light faded.
