I photographed this scene on my winter 2022 trip to Death Valley National Park. I loved the look of these dune ripples, so I framed a composition with a diagonal emphasis and exposed this sheet of film when the setting sun was partially obstructed by the horizon.

This photo was taken on Fuji Provia 100F transparency film with a Nikkor W 300mm f/5.6 lens on an Arca-Swiss F Metric view camera.
