I photographed this scene on my spring 2025 backpacking trip to the canyons of southern Utah. On the first day of my trip, while hiking nearly 8 miles to where I would camp for the next several days, I found this healthy young juniper bathed in beautiful reflected light. I took time to photograph this scene that morning before continuing on my way.
